Timothy J Moran, 69, of Viroqua, died Sunday, December 13, 2015. Timothy Joseph Moran, 69, Viroqua, died Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice Care after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Tim was born on November 14, 1946 to Eugene and Margaret (Finley) Moran. He graduated from Soldiers Grove High School in 1964. On February 27, 1965, he married Susan Morrison and began their 50 years of love and laughter. They were blessed with two sons, Richard and Steven (Bub), daughter-in-law Michelle, and doubly blessed with grandsons Spencer and Jackson, who were the light, and fountain of youth, in "Poppys" life. Tim worked for Vernon County, Super Valu, and did shoe repair for Hendricksons Shoes, before beginning a 27-year career with Kwik Trip, retiring in 2010. Tims love for grandkids, golfing, playing cards, hunting, fishing, the Packers, wrestling, and travel kept his life full of joy with good friends and family. Given the opportunity, Tim and Sue were first on the dance floor showing everyone how its done! Tim is survived by the love of his life and best friend, Sue; their boys, Rich of Viroqua, and Steve (Michelle) of Louisville, KY; and grandsons Spence & Jack. He is also survived and loved by his siblings Tom Moran, Margo (Bill) Murphy, Joni Peterson, Laura (John) Hackman, Mike Moran, Elizabeth (Kevin) Doyle, Bridget (Randy) Trussoni, and Patrick (Caroline) Moran; and in-laws Judy (Winston) Tally, Sandy (Mike) McGregor, Christine (Tony) Reed, Bonnie (Richard) Running, and Debbie (Jim) Hanson, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many great friends. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Burns & Ruth Morrison; and brother-in-law, Bullet Bob Peterson. The family would like to thank the staff at Vernon Memorial and the Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice for his respectful and dignified care. He lived full and laughed often thanks for taking us along for the ride, Tim. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Good Shephard Lutheran Church, 205 Main St., Viroqua, WI. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate with a private burial at a later date. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua.
