Listen to Obituary

Timothy K. Kelly, affectionately known as Tim to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, at the age of 66. Born on November 15, 1958, in Chicago, IL, Tim was the cherished son of the late Robert and Patricia (Dalton) Kelly. He grew up with a loving family and went on to build a beautiful life that touched many.

Tim married the love of his life, Rebecca (Becky) Jirasek, on September 10, 1983, at Faith Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn, IL. Together, they created a family filled with love and joy. Tim was a devoted father to his sons and loved his grandchildren.

Tim graduated from Sweet Home Senior High School in Amherst, NY. His love for learning led him to continue his education across multiple institutions, obtaining his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from St. Meinrad College/Seminary before earning an MBA from Illinois Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. Additionally, Tim earned numerous professional certifications in support of his career. Tim's educational journey was a testament to his intelligence and dedication, qualities that would shine throughout his life.

Tim began his career at Jewel Foods, advancing into management. His work ethic and friendly demeanor made him a favorite among colleagues and customers alike. Later, Tim moved to Lisle and then Montgomery, IL, transitioning careers, embracing the financial industry. The family moved to Carmel, IN, and Tim accepted a position at Charles Schwab, where he worked for 29 years prior to his recent retirement. AŌer retiring, Tim and Becky moved to beautiful Gays Mills, WI, to be near Becky’s sister, Cindy, and her husband, Dave. Tim’s professional life was marked by the same kindness and keen perceptions that he demonstrated in his personal life.

A man of diverse interests, Tim’s ultimate passion, along with Becky's, was their sons. They dedicated time and effort in support of their children’s endeavors. As an active parent, one of Tim's favorite pastimes was watching his children play sports, especially wrestling. Tim’s other interests included gaming, music (guitar), sports (golf), movies, and creative writing. Tim was the kind of person who made a lasting impression on everyone he met. His ability to connect with people, his genuine interest in their well-being, and his ever-present smile made him a beloved figure.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca; sons, Scott (Kristina) Kelly, and Michael Kelly; grandchildren, Thorin and Strider Kelly; brother, Terrence (Laneta) Kelly; sister, Susan (Mike) Kelly; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Casey Kelly, and his parents, Robert and Patricia Kelly. The Kelly family would like to extend their hearƞelt thanks to all those who shared in Tim's life.

His story is not one of sorrow, but rather a celebration of a life well-lived and a man well-loved. Tim's journey through life was filled with warmth, compassion, faith, and commitment to his family and friends.
