Timothy Alan Parr, age 70, of La Farge, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, following a short battle with numerous health challenges while hospitalized at Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse. He was born on March 25, 1956, in Viroqua to Maureen and Bob Parr.
Tim was known by those closest to him as a hardworking man with a bit of a stubborn streak that made him uniquely himself. His mother referred to him as a "mama's boy" during his childhood.
A dedicated worker for much of his life, Tim worked alongside local businessmen Earl Nelson, Steve Olson, and Dave Mick, helping with farming operations, driving trucks, and hauling canoes for the many visitors who traveled to the beautiful Kickapoo River during Wisconsin summers. He took pride in honest work and was always willing to lend a hand when needed. In his younger years, he was also very active with the La Farge Fire Dept. and weekend water fights.
Tim enjoyed spending time with friends. Like his brothers he had an easy way of connecting with people and forming lasting friendships over the years. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply enjoying the company of others, while shooting pool or card playing, Tim valued the relationships he built throughout his life.
Tim shared a special bond with his older brother, Steve. The two were very close throughout their lives, and those who knew them understood the strength of that connection. Steve's passing left a void in Tim’s heart.
Tim loved his daughter, Tiffany, and was proud to be her father. Though he often found it difficult to show his feelings and be present in the ways he may have wanted during her adult years, love still remained.
Tim is survived by his daughter Tiffany (Andrew) Leirmo; his mother Maureen Hysel; his sisters Gina Parr and Karla Clark (Scott Peterson); grandsons Pasen and JJ and granddaughter Avery; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his father Robert Parr; his brothers Marlin Parr and Steven Parr; and grandparents and aunts and an uncle.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Tim's struggles have ended and that he is now at peace. His memory will live on in the stories shared by friends, the memories held by family, and the many lives he touched along the way.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in La Farge. A short service will follow. Tim will be laid to rest at Star Cemetery at a later date.
