Travis L. Barclay

Travis L. Barclay, age 37, of La Farge, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020. He was born May 5, 1983, at Vernon Memorial Hospital to LaVern and Sherry (Dunwald) Barclay. Travis attended La Farge Schools from 8th grade until his junior year. He moved back to New Jersey, where he wanted to finish his senior year with his former classmates. Following graduation, he attended the University of New Hampshire and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality. In addition to his degree, Travis also had numerous certifications with Microsoft. During his life, Travis had numerous jobs to include working at the Copacabana Nightclub in New York City and he started his own computer repair and website design service in Florida. He loved listening to music. He had a passion for drawing and his family has many of his art pieces. Survivors include his very loving and caring father, LaVern Barclay of La Farge; his aunts and uncles: Lynda (Barclay) and Ron Hollick of Viola, Gail (Kelvin) Jacobson of Westby, Mike Dunwald of Viroqua, Lila Dunwald of Viroqua, Russell Dunwald of Soldiers Grove, Dennis (Pat) Dunwald of Sparta, and Lloyd Dunwald of Beloit; his cousin, Tonya (Bobby) Compton; several other cousins, relatives and many friends; and his sweet dog, Blue. Travis was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sherry (Dunwald) Barclay; his grandparents, Dorien and Geneva (Sanford) Barclay and Lyle and Cleo (Sidie) Dunwald; his aunts and uncles: Dorien “Chip” Barclay, Roger Dunwald, Bruce Dunwald, Kurt Dunwald, Marsha Dunwald, and Penny Dunwald. May God Bless Travis’s Beautiful Soul. He now rests beside his loving mother, Sherry. A Celebration of Travis’s life will be held for family and close friends at the La Farge Free Methodist Church. Travis will be laid to rest beside his mother in the Viola Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the La Farge Ambulance Service or the La Farge Free Methodist Church appreciated.
