Tyrone Christianson

Tyrone 'Ty' Leland Christianson, 69, of Westby, died suddenly on Saturday, July 27, 2013. He was born to Telmer and Lucille (Eitland) Christianson on August 12, 1943 in Viroqua. He married Rachel Smith on November 22, 1969, and they later divorced in February 1981. Their sons are Alan (Monica), Todd (Diana), Alex (Michelle), and Tracey. In 1982 he and Alberta 'Bert' Fisher became life partners. Ty was a member of the National Guard, and also worked in Madison as a machinist for several years, before returning to the area as a local milk hauler. Later, he worked for Machine products and Trane in LaCrosse as a machinist until he had to retire after a severe automobile accident in 2001. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 infant sisters and 2 special uncles, Gordon Eitland and Winsten Olson. He is survived by his sons, grandchildren Hailie and Tucker, Chantell and Megan. His siblings, Cheryl (Al), Larry, Gaylord, Daryl, Shelby, Kelly, Tony, Jeff (Lori), Wayne (Rachel), Cindy (LeRoy), and Barry (Vicki). Bert's children, Ruby (Danny), Lance (Suzie), Julie (Dennis) and their families. Two special Aunts, Deloris Olson and Charlotte Stalsberg. And many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main, in Westby. Pastor George Shick will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
