Valborg G. Nelson, age 94 of Westby, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 Valborg G. Nelson, age 94 of Westby, died early Tuesday morning, September 21, 2010 at the Norseland Nursing Home in Westby. She was born on April 27, 1916 in Ettrick, WI to Helfred and Olette (Anstenson) Waller. On June 7, 1937 she was united in marriage to Melford Nelson in Cresco, IA. She was a member of Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church and the WELCA. She is survived by two children: Stanley (Catherine) of Columbus, WI and Linda (David) Lorentzen of Middleton, WI; four grandchildren: Eric (Angela) Nelson of Palmyra, WI, Stefanie (Kris) Muller of Oregon, WI, Rebecca of Madison and Amanda Lorentzen of Milwaukee, WI; eight great-grandchildren: Johnathon, Christopher, Tina, Rebecca, Larry, Clayton, Trisha and Pierce; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Lien of Taylor, WI In addition to her parents and husband, Valborg was preceded in death by nine brothers: Arthur, Edwin, Emil, Winton, Joseph, Marvin, Elwood, Jule and Lester Waller; and one sister, Marie Dale. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Taylor, WI. Friends may call on Saturday after 10 a.m. at the church. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
