Vera N. Carson (Iverson)

Vera N. Carson (Iverson), age 87, of Waupun, formerly of Coon Valley, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020. She was born March 25, 1933, in Delavan, WI to the late Thomas Sr. and Ruby (Sampsell) Baldwin. She farmed for most of her life on the family farm in Coon Valley. In addition to working on the farm, she also worked at Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse as a CNA and later transitioned to in home health care. After her first husband, Marvin A. Iverson, passed away, she married Donald Carson. She enjoyed reading, in particular books by Joyce Meyer. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and made many afghans over the years. Survivors include children: Marvene Charles, Kevin (Dawna) Iverson and Marvin Iverson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings: John Edward Baldwin and Rita Zeorness; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Vera was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; two sons; four siblings and four grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 30, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main St. in Westby. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
