Verla J. Kramer

Verla J. Kramer, age 83 of DeSoto, died Saturday, September 6, 2008. Verla Jean Kramer, age 83, of Lansing, Iowa, went to meet her Lord on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Franciscan Skemp Hospital in La Crosse, Wis. She was born September 21, 1924 in Soldiers Grove, Wis., the daughter of Lawson and Mabel Bailey. She received her education in the Soldiers Grove Schools. She was united in marriage to Franklin Kramer in 1941. They were later divorced. Verla had lived in DeSoto, Milwaukee and La Crosse, and had worked in various occupations before entering Thornton Manor in Lansing, Iowa. She enjoyed gardening and craftwork. Verla is survived by four sons, Ronald Kramer of Wauzeka, Wis., Gerald Kramer of Waukesha, Wis., Robert (Judeen) Kramer of DeSoto, Wis., and Gregory Kramer of Wauzeka, Wis.; three daughters, Diana (Charles) Hultine of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Sue Ann Moulis of La Crosse, Wis., and Constance Fox of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ardeth Bailey and Larry Bailey of Janesville, Wis.; many other relatives. Verla was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Arthur F. Kramer and Steven B. Kramer; siblings, Delores Bailey, Galen Bailey, and Harley Bailey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 320 Main (Hwy 82) in DeSoto, Wis. Pastor Libby Howe will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-7:30 p.m. and on Wednesday after 10:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in DeSoto.
