Verona Phillips

Verona Phillips left her earthly home to her eternal heavenly home on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Verona was born on November 25, 1941, to Raymond and Genevieve (Bailey) Parr in the house she lived in most of her life. She was a graduate of the La Farge High School and on January 3, 1959, she married Blaine Phillips.

Verona lived all her life in La Farge. She was a ‘stay at home mom’ many years to raise all three of her children. Later, she worked at times for the Village of La Farge in the office and for elections. She also worked at Organic Valley in its early years until she retired. She loved to travel whether it was on the motorcycle with Blaine or going to Hawaii with family members. She loved to socialize with her friends and she was a member of the La Farge Free Methodist Church.

Verona is survived by her son, Mark (Lori) Phillips of La Farge, Connie (Tim) Wegner of Sparta, and Carrie (Curtis) Tunks of Viroqua. Her grandchildren are Tyler Phillips of Las Vegas, Carver (Jamie) Phillips of Las Vegas, Mercedes (fiancé, Tanner) Tunks of La Crosse, and Brooklyn Phillips of La Farge and her great-granddaughter, Riley Phillips.

Verona was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Theron and Inger Phillips; her husband, Blaine; and sister, Delores Martin.

The family will have a private graveside service in the near future.
