William H. "Billy" Adams, 68, of Coon Valley died Wednesday, November 18, 2009. William H. "Billy" Adams, 68, of Coon Valley died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse.He was a farmer as well as an owner/operator of a logging business. Billy enjoyed church dinners, loved lutefisk, and had a real passion for hunting and fishing, especially fox and deer hunting.In August of 1962 he was married to Kathleen (Hilton) and together they had three children. They were later divorced. In March of 1990 he was united in marriage to Ruth (Haag). Billy is survived by his wife, Ruth; children: John (Barb) Adams, Kenneth Adams, Janet (Steve) Holey; 7 grandchildren: Brad (Becky), Anthony, Matthew, Shawnelle, Cordell, Jeff and Becca; 2 great-grandchildren: Gabe and Anatolios; aunt Vera Cox of Viroqua; cousins, Errett Cox, Frances Cass; and life-long friend Dave Meyer. He was preceded in death by his father Mighill W. Adams on May 25, 1979; his mother Lulu E. Adams on April 21, 1983; several aunts and uncles; and one cousin.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 Main (Hwy 14), in Westby, with Pastor Gary Daines officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, rural Westby. Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the funeral home. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
