WESTBY William "Juny" Widner, age 87 of Avalanche, died Thursday, March 15, 2018. He was born on December 21, 1930 to William Perry and Rena Florence (Clark) Widner and lived in Avalanche his whole life. Juny worked for Overguard Construction Company and helped build the interstate from Madison to Minneapolis. He was active in the maintenance of the Westfork Sportsmans Club in Avalanche and was a life-time member. He enjoyed mushroom picking, hunting, fishing and auto bodywork. Juny is survived by, two brothers Robert (Eda) Widner and Roger Widner; numerous nieces and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Widner; three brothers: Lester, Dorman and Dorwin Widner; and two sisters: Mary Skundberg and Gladys Tway. Blessed be our memory of Juny Widner. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. Pastor Wollman will officiate with burial in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call one-hour prior to the service at the Vosseteig Funeral Home.
