William Pearl Crum, 71, of De Soto, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at his home. William "Bill" Pearl Crum, 71, of Desoto, Wisconsin, passed away, Saturday, April 5, 2014 at his home. William was born August 23, 1942 in Retreat, Wisconsin to Clare and Phyllis (Oliver) Crum. William was a veteran of the US Armed Forces. He was honored to march in the inauguration parade for John F. Kennedy. William then worked as a skilled welder for over 28 years at Young Radiator in Racine, Wisconsin before becoming a commercial fisherman on the Mississippi River. William was an intelligent individual that loved to invent and create things that improved anything and everything he touched. William is survived by the mother of his children, Catherine Cecilia Crum and three sons, Dr. William Paul (Arlene) Crum of Washington, Clifton James Crum of Gainesville, Florida, and Russell Wayne (Melissa) Crum of DeSoto, Wisconsin with five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is further survived by one sister Deanna (Fred) Olson, one brother James (Peggy) Crum as well as other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Shirley (John) Diehl. In honor of Bills wishes, no funeral services are being held. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of De Soto is serving the family.
