William Paggi

William Paggi, 79, of Genoa, died Friday, November 17, 2017. William D. "Bill" Paggi, 79, of Genoa, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at a Nursing Home. He was born in La Crosse on September 10, 1938 to Charles and Kathryn (Hastings) Paggi. After graduation from High School he worked at the Robertson Saw Mill in De Soto and hauled milk. He was united in marriage to Judith L Woodward on November 15 1958. He worked at Allis Chalmers in La Crosse until they closed. He started cutting logs and selling Jonsered chainsaws. He also sharpened and repaired saws. He lived on a small farm and had Hereford cattle. Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judy; children: Alan (Robin) Paggi, and Cheri (Virgil) Elliott of Genoa; two grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by, his parents; a stillborn daughter; and several brothers. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the St Johns Lutheran Church in Genoa. Pastor Paul Kantee will officiate with a luncheon to follow. Friends may call at the church from 10am till the time of service at 11.
