Wilma Inez Hoesly, also known as "Terry", 98, of 185 Elmwood Lane, Naples, Florida died at 3:51 A.M. on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Hidenwood Retirement Community in Newport News, Virginia. Mrs Hoesly was born in Rockford, Illinois on December 17, 1917 to William and Ina Frailey of Byron, Illinois. Graduating from Rockford College in Rockford, Illinois, she worked as a court reporter and later for the American Insurance Company in Rockford where she met and married the Late Harley J. Hoesly on January 1, 1941 in Byron, Illinois. During World War II, Mrs. Hoesly stayed with her husband, an Army Air Force Intelligence Specialist, based in the United States. They lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Las Vegas, New Mexico, and New York City. After the war they lived in Rockford, Illinois and New Glarus, Wisconsin before moving to Viroqua in the late 1950s. Mrs Hoesly was a housewife and an after school piano teacher in Viroqua before moving with her husband to Naples, Florida in 1990. She is survived by her two sons: William J. Hoesly (Elizabeth) of Laurys Station, Pennsylvania, and Jack W. Hoesly (Cindy) of Carrollton, Virginia; her daughter, Laurie Jill Lewison of Viroqua. She had eight grand children and eight great grandchildren. A memorial Service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua at 10 A.M. on September 10, 2016. Internment will be at the Viroqua Cemetery following the service, and a light luncheon will follow at the church.
