Zachary A. Springborn, age 22 of Victory, died Thursday, April 23, 2009. Zachary "Zach" A. Springborn, age 22 of LaCrosse and formerly of Victory, died Thursday, April 23, 2009. He was born on November 21, 1986 in Viroqua to Allan and Margaret (Townsend) Springborn. He graduated from DeSoto High School in 2005 and had been involved in band. He earned an associate degree from WTC in graphic design in 2008. Zach enjoyed watching football and movies, photography and computers. He loved ketchup, cottage cheese, popcorn and chicken. Zach struggled with a life-long battle with Cystic Fibrosis. He liked his cats, especially his beloved cat "Zena". In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Jason Springborn; maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Townsend of DeSoto; paternal grandfather, Herman Springborn of Viroqua; aunts and uncles: Cheryl (Gary) Pinkham, Eston Townsend, Jr, Marge Geddes, Joyce (Harry) Sutton, Marv (Alice) Springborn, Eloda (Miles) Bohland, Harlan Springborn, Roger (Valerie) Springborn, Loren (Marlene) Springborn; special cousins: Mark, Mike and Cole Springborn and Lacey Pinkham; many other cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shannon Rae Springborn; maternal grandfather, Eston Townsend, Sr; paternal grandmother, Esther Springborn; paternal step-grandmother, Eva Springborn; and uncle, Donald Geddes. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 320 Main St. (Hwy 82) in DeSoto. Pastor Bill Busch will officiate with burial in the Walnut Mound Cemetery at Retreat. Friends may call on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. and on Monday after 10:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in DeSoto. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of DeSoto is serving the family.
